Grundlegende Eigenschaften & Zusammensetzung

Hei-Cast 8263 is designed to bridge the gap between rigid plastics and semi-flexible materials.
  • HDPE/PP Simulation: It replicates the waxy, tough feel of polyethylene and polypropylene.
  • Hohe Schlagfestigkeit: Its defining feature is superior impact resistance. It will dent or deform rather than shatter upon impact.
  • Flexibilität: It offers a lower modulus (stiffness) than ABS simulants, allowing for significant bending and flexing without permanent deformation or cracking.
  • Verschleißfestigkeit: Good resistance to abrasion, suitable for parts that undergo friction.

Farboptionen

  • Standard: White / Milky White.
  • Farbabstimmung: JUCHENG can pigment the resin to achieve specific colors (e.g., Black for automotive bumpers, Safety Orange for industrial guards).
  • Lackieren: Due to its flexibility, we use specialized elastomeric primers and paints to ensure the coating does not crack when the part is bent.

2. VERARBEITUNG 
  • Vakuumguss: Requires a high-quality vacuum environment to prevent porosity, which could compromise toughness.
  • Topfzeit: Approx. 6-8 minutes at 25°C. The fast reaction time requires efficient process control by our technicians.
  • Entformen: 60 minutes at 60-70°C.
  • Aushärtung: Standard thermal post-cure is necessary to maximize impact properties.
 
3. VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN 
  • Surface Tacky: PE-like resins can sometimes feel slightly tacky immediately after demolding; JUCHENG employs specific cleaning protocols to ensure a smooth, dry finish.
  • Feuchtigkeit: The hardener component is sensitive to moisture.

4. LAGERUNG 
  • Bedingungen: Store in a cool, dry place. Shelf life is typically shorter than rigid ABS resins, so we maintain fresh stock rotation.
 

Anwendungsszenarien & Bereiche

Hei-Cast 8263 is essential for "crash-proof" prototyping:
  • Automobil: Bumper prototypes, fender flares, interior trim clips, crash-test components.
  • Schutzausrüstung: Helmets, knee pads (hard shell), tool housings that endure job-site abuse.
  • Packaging: Shampoo bottles, flexible containers, flip-top caps.
  • Living Hinges: Functional prototypes of integrated box hinges that need to open and close repeatedly.

Kompatibilität mit Vakuumgussverfahren

  • Silikonwerkzeuge: Compatible with standard molds. Due to the resin's toughness, demolding complex undercuts is easier than with rigid brittle resins.
  • Bearbeitung: Can be drilled and trimmed, but due to its "gummy" nature (like real PE), high-speed cutting can cause melting. We use sharp tools and slow speeds.
  • Endbearbeitung: Best suited for Matte or Textured finishes. High-gloss polishing is difficult due to the material's softness.

Extreme Toughness: Excellent shock absorption. Low Heat Resistance: HDT is around 70°C. Not for high-temp zones.
High Elongation: Can bend significantly without breaking. Polishing: Difficult to achieve a mirror finish; matte is best.
Snap-Fit Friendly: Ideal for clipping parts together. Rigidity: Not suitable for structural parts requiring high stiffness (will flex).
Chemical Resistance: Good resistance to common household chemicals.
