Axson UP 6160 is a high-grade polyurethane casting system designed to simulate the properties of High-Impact ABS or tough thermoplastics. It distinguishes itself from standard resins by offering superior ductility and resistance to brittle fracture, making it an excellent choice for parts that require both rigidity and the ability to withstand mechanical stress. At JUCHENG, we use UP 6160 for functional prototypes where standard resins might be too brittle, such as heavy-duty equipment housings, clips, and industrial components requiring a long service life.

Basic Characteristics & Composition
Axson UP 6160 is formulated for durability and ease of processing.
- Toughness: It balances stiffness with elongation, preventing immediate snapping under load.
- Easy Demolding: The resin is not aggressive to silicone molds, allowing for a higher yield of parts per mold (saving tooling costs).
- Oberflächenbeschaffenheit: It cures to a smooth, non-porous surface that is easy to paint.
- Thick Sections: It has a controlled exothermic reaction, making it suitable for casting thicker wall sections without excessive shrinkage or warping.

- Standard: White / Off-White.
- Coloring: Like other ABS simulants, it accepts pigments well during mixing for integral coloring.
- Finishing: Excellent adhesion for paints, primers, and soft-touch coatings.

2. PROCESSING
- Ratio: 1:1 mix ratio ensures easy handling and consistency.
- Vakuumguss: Essential to remove air bubbles and ensure the resin fills complex mold cavities.
- Pot Life: Approx. 10 minutes.
- Demolding: 45-60 minutes at 70°C.
3. PRECAUTIONS
- Shake Well: Components (Polyol) must be shaken/stirred before use to ensure fillers are evenly distributed.
- Moisture: Keep containers sealed.
4. STORAGE
- Conditions: Dry place between 15°C and 25°C.
